For schools & programs

An after-school golf program your students will ask for again.

Birdie Tots gives elementary students a fast, playful introduction to golf, with eight-week sessions that are safe by design and easy to fit into your program.

We understand

Your enrichment program needs to work for kids and for you.

You want activities children are excited about, that run smoothly and keep every child safe. You don’t want another program that kids sign up for once and then drift away from. Birdie Tots is built to be the one they ask for again.

Every child is active the whole class

No long lines. We build enough stations that every child is hitting, putting, moving, helping or retrieving.

Safe by design

Marked hitting boxes, a “club down” signal and limited-flight balls keep a room full of energy under control.

A curriculum that’s already built

Eight weeks are mapped out, each with a theme, a single teaching cue and games that match. There’s nothing for your staff to plan.

Moments families remember

Each session ends with a graduation celebration, with parents invited to the finish.

A reason to come back

Children graduate from Par to Birdie, then Eagle and Albatross, so there’s always a next step to look forward to.

Positive for every child

Progress is participation-based, and we praise effort, bravery, teamwork and personal improvement.

A class at a glance

Every class has the same simple rhythm.

Forty-five minutes, built so every child is moving from the first minute to the last. Stations are set up before students arrive, so there’s no waiting around.

Safety first

Safety is built into how we set up and run every class.

Our rule is simple: safety first, contact second, enjoyment always.

  • Clearly marked hitting boxes. Only the child in the box swings.
  • A visible “club down” position whenever the instructor is talking.
  • Balls are retrieved only on the instructor’s signal, or in games where retrieval is a controlled rotation.
  • Full-swing stations are spaced farther apart than putting and chipping stations.
  • Almost Golf or similar limited-flight balls whenever the environment calls for it.

    We plan and set up

We bring the clubs, mats and balls, build every station before the kids arrive and teach the eight-week Par session.

  3. 3

    Students graduate

Kids play, learn and celebrate at graduation, and advance from Par to Birdie.

The Birdie Tots standard

What you can expect when we’re running your class.

  • No long lines. Every child is hitting, putting, moving, helping or retrieving.
  • Demonstrations stay to about 60–90 seconds: show it, give one cue, then let them play.
  • Safety first, contact second, enjoyment always. We don’t over-coach young swings.
  • Targets, stories and challenges instead of technical language.
  • Praise for effort, bravery, teamwork and personal improvement, not just the best shot.
  • Dozens of golf motions for every child, every class.

Questions

Common questions from schools and programs

Which students is Birdie Tots for?

Birdie Tots is designed for elementary school students.

How long are classes, and how long is a session?

Each class is 45 minutes, and a session runs eight weeks. The first session is called Par.

What do you need from our school or program?

Space to set up stations with a clear swinging zone and a separate waiting and movement zone, plus a time that works for your schedule. Tell us about your space and we’ll plan the setup together.

What equipment do you use?

We use hitting mats, junior clubs and Almost Golf limited-flight balls, along with cones, hoops, targets and other game equipment. Instructors build every station before class starts.

Do students need golf experience or a skill test?

No. Week 1 starts with safe club handling, and children advance by completing the session, not by passing a test. Activities are adjusted for each child by changing target size and distance.

How do we get started?
